The first question we usually get is, “Where did you come up with the idea for this product?” To answer that, it helps to know a little about us.
We are a husband and wife team, married over 25 years. Nature and travel have always been important to both of us. We first met while traveling and working on the Renaissance circuit, and our first date was a moonlit hike in the Superstition Mountains in Arizona. We quickly discovered our shared love of nature and the outdoors, and we also found a shared love of hot springs, as a source of renewal, healing, and community. We always felt at home soaking in a nice hot spring, and loved the way we felt rejuvenated and cleansed afterward.
In our travels we wound up in Houston, Texas, with good jobs and a desire to start a family together. We spent time at hot springs throughout Texas and traveled as much as we could over the summers, but we longed for the sense of renewal we always found at our favorite springs. So, the thought finally came to us:
If we can’t get to the hot springs, how can we get the hot springs to us?
We tried the existing bath products on the market, but none of them made us feel the same way natural hot springs did. So, we decided to make it ourselves.
We gathered and analyzed data from over 20 of the most famous hot springs from around the world to inspire and guide us toward the perfect blend. We turned to the wisdom of nature, which has been working on this formula for over a billion years. We recreated the chemistry of these natural springs as accurately as possible and had the formula lab tested to provide the base for our blend. We then added a variety of natural botanicals to nourish and soothe the skin, along with Vitamin C to neutralize the chlorine found in all tap water. As a nod to the spiritual and cultural history of healing waters, our blend includes a homeopathic Lourdes water essence. We include it not as a medical claim, but as part of the story and intention behind Perfect Bath.
We made it for our own home first, and we believe we have, truly, formulated the Perfect Bath. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do, and that it provides an oasis of recovery and relaxation from the stresses of everyday life.
